Love & Care Ministries

Serving The Homeless & Poor In Abilene, Merkel & Clyde Texas

His Food Pantry

Matthew 25:35
“For I was hungry and you gave Me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave Me something to drink,…”

Since 1995 the food pantry has grown into one of the largest outreach ministries meeting the community’s needs. It serves families with groceries and homeless with food kits 5 days a week. In 2015 God provided a new facility to expand and continues today to reach out to all those in need.

His Clothing

Matthew 25:36
“I needed clothes and you clothed me.”

After giving clothes away from a garage Love & Care opened their first clothing ministry in September 1997 with one shower that could be used by those in need. Today this ministry has grown tremendously on June 7th 2010, God provided a newly renovated clothing building. This houses three main areas, waiting room, sorting room, and a give-away area with six showers stalls three for men, and three for woman. Also it includes a clothing transition storage area, a 24/7 public drop off, and an overflow warehouse.

His Dining Room

John 6:35
“And Jesus said to him, “I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to me will never go hungry, and whoever believes in me will never be thirsty.””

As Love & Care continued in the vision serving meals on the street and serving food boxes 10 years later with much prayer God opened the door in 2005 for a place for those who are hungry to come and dine. Hot meals breakfast and lunch are provided five days a week and everyone is welcome.

His Quiet Place

2 Chronicles 7:14
“If My people, who are called by My name, will humble themselves and pray and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sins and will heal their land.”

His Quite Place is the original site where the homeless church was founded by Pastor Mark in April of 1997. In 2010 God brought this vision in full circle by once again dedicating this room as a place of prayer and worship seeking His divine presence. His Quite Place is a place where the homeless, poor, and people of all walks of life can seek the presence of God Almighty without obligation.
